On February 8, 2018, during one of the biggest Chicago snowstorms this Winter, CEO Brad Arlen and Product-Market Strategy Director, James Willett, attended the International Blockchain Congress 2018 at the mHub Innovation Center in Chicago. Sponsored by the Innovation and Development Foundation, and hosted by IDF CEO George Chikovani, the congress had attendees and sponsors from across the US, Ukraine, Singapore, China, Africa, and the EU.
Speakers included the State of Illinois CTO Mike Wons, describing how the State is planning to incorporate blockchain technologies in their daily processes, panel discussions on the evolution of blockchain development platforms, ICOs, AI, IoT, security, it’s impact on charity, the financial sector, and most of all, how blockchain will affect individuals and the management of their personal identities and the data associated with that.
We were proud and excited to attend, and were overwhelmed as to how far people traveled to be at this event and at the diversity of people attending with blockchain technology interests. The genie is out of the bottle, and OneMe is grateful and excited to be part of it and are looking forward to the next one.
